9.24 Game Memo

Homecoming is here! See the memo below for everything you need to know.

Game Times  

                        5:00 pm                       Night Game-Use the Front Side Gate Entrance!

                        5:20 pm                       Attendance & Warm-Up at Stadium

                        5:50 pm                       Pre-Game Ceremony (SSB, FS)

                        6:00 pm                       Football Game begins

                      ~7:00pm                        Halftime Show

After the show, members have 3^rd quarter off. They should be back in the stands when there are 2 minutes left on the clock for 3^rd quarter. They must be responsible for being on time.          

                     ~8:15 pm                        Game Over / Dismissal from stadium

Members of the Band and Percussion Section that has equipment transported in the truck or trailer must return to JMB after the game to help unload the truck. This is required.

This game will be played at the Wicomico County Stadium, located at WiHi.  All Band and Guard members must provide their own rides to the stadium and home.  Band & Guard members are to enter and exit the stadium through the Front Gate only.

Band members will need to have their lyre and flip folio for their instrument at every football game.

When we wear the marching uniform:  Band & Guard members will come to the stadium in uniform (shoes, black socks, gloves, etc.).  Band members will also need to wear the white B-band shirts underneath their uniform jacket.  Band students are not allowed to wear baggy shorts or pants underneath the uniform “bibber” pants.  Wear black socks with the uniform.  Members should bring their garment bags to the stadium, so they have a safe place to hang their jackets. 

Members are to bring their windbreaker jackets to the games when they are issued.  The Band & Guard will be allowed to wear regular hats in the stands.  Please remove these items when we go on the field. 

Any Band or Guard member that has equipment being transported by the equipment trucks must return to school to help unload the truck at the end of the football game.

Uniform care and maintenance reminders:

Make sure the pants and jackets are hung neatly on the hanger, with the crease properly set on the pants.  Jackets must be hung correctly on the hanger as well.

Hang the jackets and pants in the garment bag properly.  Shoes do not go in the garment bag.

If you wish to volunteer, please sign up on the band app as limited passes are available.  Please review the details at jmbclipperbands.com. At the County Stadium, enter through security. If all passes are taken, you will have to purchase tickets online from gofan.co.

If you’re not volunteering, I hope you will find the time to come to the County Stadium to watch the game and halftime show.  As always, thanks for your support.

For the football game on the September 24^th, the Band & Guard can wear their White Band T-Shirts and their uniform, to the game. Bring water bottles, please.
