Happy Sunday!!!

Autumn is upon us. The air in the early hours of the morning are cool and crisp and the sun goes down a little earlier in the evening. Tis the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice!!!

It's homecoming week for our Clippers, and we hope everyone is prepared to join in the spirit during the school day throughout the week! Our first home game is this Thursday, September 24th @ 5 pm. A detailed memo will be sent out from Ms. Gilmore on Monday, September 21st. Please be on the lookout for it. If you haven't already, please sign up to volunteer for our game on the band app. We cannot do this without you!!!! 

Please refer to the notes of Ms. Gilmore:

• I am aware that some students are in need of a flipfolio and I have one for them in the band room. ALL students must have a lyre for the game on Thursday. You can purchase them at the music and arts store on Mt. Hermon Rd. 

• Parents, please have a discussion with your students about their band responsibilities for this week. They should be up-to-date with all that has been going on in band class in the past few weeks. Communication gaps are expected with teenagers, however, the students know what is expected of them and have been guided by their section leaders on their band responsibilities. 

• Reminder that if you are a parent seeking to volunteer at the game that only 10 passes are available. If you are an employee of the board, you and 1 guest get in for free. 

The week ahead:

• Tues. Sept. 22- Winds & Guard Sectionals 6-8:30 pm

• Wed.  Sept 23- Full Band & Guard Practice- 6-8:30 pm

• Thurs. Sept 24- Football game @ WCS- 5 pm

• Sat.     Sept 26- Rehearsal- 9am-12 pm & Homecoming dance 8-10pm
